Electrical Technician

Plains is seeking an Electrical Technician to support safe, reliable operation of our midstream energy infrastructure across pipelines, storage, and terminal facilities in Houston, TX. In this field-based role, you will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including motors, MCCs, VFDs, lighting, and instrumentation. You will perform troubleshooting, preventive and predictive maintenance, and support project work and commissioning activities while strictly following safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for pipelines, terminals, and related equipment
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, control panels, and instrumentation
• Troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize downtime and support safe, reliable operations
• Interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams on shutdowns and project work
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records in CMMS systems
• Support commissioning and startup of new or upgraded electrical equipment
