Farm Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for professionals committed to their growth and interested in long
-term work in the industry as Farm Maintenance Technicians in highly modernized facilities.

Note:

This position is as an OPERATOR, not a supervisory role.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment such as tractors, feed systems, ventilation systems, pumps, generators, water lines and pressure washers
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Maintain climate control systems such as fans, heaters, curtain motors, and thermostats
• Perform arc, MIG, or TIG welding to repair or fabricate metal parts, gates, fences, and equipment
• Assist in cleaning and disinfecting barns and farm equipment to meet animal health and biosecurity standard
• Support the maintenance of biosecurity infrastructure, such as showers, entry rooms, and barriers
• Maintain detailed logs of maintenance tasks, service intervals, parts used, and repair dates
• Respond to emergency repair needs promptly to reduce downtime and protect livestock health

Usual work hours: 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Average of 80 to 100 hours per biweekly pay period

One day off per week

Work locations: various farms in states such as North Carolina, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, Kentucky, among others

Extreme weather conditions depending on the season (cold in winter and hot in summer)

To be eligible for this position, a TN work visa for the United States is required. Therefore, it is essential to meet the following requirements:

• Be of Mexican nationality
• Hold a university degree and professional license in Industrial Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related field
• Possess a Mexican passport valid for at least 1 year
• Have a valid Mexican driver’s license

• Excellent physical condition for demanding work between 8 to 12 hours a day
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions
• Interest in learning and improving their English skills
• Adaptability to new cultures and ways of life
• Independence and maturity to live away from family for extended periods
• Strong desire for personal and professional growth
• Attention to detail and a proactive attitude
• A good level of English is required for this position

Compensation and benefits vary depending on your professional experience, English proficiency level, and the state where the facility is located.

• Hourly wage: between $13.00 and $18.00 USD
• Housing and transportation assistance available (depending on location and availability)
