JESCC Operator

Responsibilities- Act as the first point of contact for members of the public who contact emergency services by telephone.
- Handle telephone communication, IT and CCTV systems.
- Perform associated administrative tasks.
- Support emergency responders within a busy, pressurised and reactive environment.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
- Availability for assessment evenings on 17:30 on the 17th and 18th June 2026.
- Attendance at interviews scheduled for 23rd June 2026.
- Completion of a 5‑week local training course commencing 1st October 2026 (no annual leave during training).
- Successful completion of Law Enforcement Vetting – comprising completion of the e‑Form and submission of passport and Guernsey Social Security Number or UK National Insurance number.
- Residency of at least 3 years in the UK or Guernsey immediately before application.
- Background check for convictions relevant to the post, including theft, dishonesty and fraud.
