Truck Driver - Moose, WY

Safely and productively drive company commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) designed to haul construction materials like aggregate, dirt, rock and water, from location to location to build company projects.

• Drive a tractor/dump trailer combination or straight dump truck transporting a variety of construction materials on company projects.
• Prior to driving a company CMV, perform inspections by walking around and examining tractor and trailer components.
• Accurately document the condition of tractor and/or trailer components, noting any safety defects or potential DOT violations on a prepared DVIR.
• Review a CMV’s previous DVIR before driving, ensuring all safety defects have been properly repaired by a qualified person.
• Perform manual labor including coupling and uncoupling trailers; using hand tools to clear gates of lodged rock, debris or other material; cleaning accumulated dirt and mud off the tractor and/or trailer; securing loads with chains, straps and/or tarps; lifting and moving blocks and other weights used to chalk CMVs or secure loads; crawling under truck and trailer to inspect and adjust brake lines, air lines, and other safety components;
  
  and assisting maintenance personnel with basic truck maintenance such as lubricating or helping with repairs.
• Receive, understand and follow verbal instructions given face to face or via radio communication.
• Use radios to effectively communicate with others on company projects.
• Obey all traffic laws and FMCSA rules and regulations.
• Travel to and from the job site within the company trade area.
