Highway Maintenance Technician

Join the WYDOT Team as a Highway Maintenance Technician in Medicine Bow, Wyoming. This role involves hands-on work to ensure Wyoming's highways are safe and reliable. With limited supervision, you'll tackle a variety of maintenance tasks, operate heavy equipment, and adhere to safety and quality standards.

Preference may be given to applicants who have a current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements before employment. Must have the ability to obtain a Certification to operate specified equipment as directed by WYDOT, a Certificate of course completion of Defensive Driving, a First Aid/CPR certification, and a Flagger certification.

Physical working conditions include frequent use of hand tools, daily use of motor vehicles and heavy equipment, exposure to hazardous materials, and working in adverse environmental conditions. Individuals in these positions must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Occasional overnight travel is required.
