Shop Hand

Overview

Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the shop and facilities. This role includes handling daily tasks related to warehouse duties, shipping and receiving, and maintaining cleanliness in the shop area.

• Warehouse Duties:
  Perform general warehouse tasks including shipping and receiving
• Order Processing:
  Prepare and process requests for orders as directed and pull materials from stock
• Stock Management:
  Move stock around using hand tools or forklifts, and transfer products from shipping trucks to warehouse shelves
• Shop Cleanliness:
  Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shop area
• Sand Loading:
  Load sand from the sand facility as required
• Parts Pickup:
  Pickup parts from suppliers as needed
• Additional Tasks:
  Perform other related duties as required

• License:
  Valid Class C driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
• Equipment Operation:
  Ability to operate a forklift or skid steer
• Knowledge:
  Understanding of industry equipment and chemicals used
• Independence:
  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Teamwork:
  Effective team player with excellent communication skills
• Flexibility:
  Ability to work shift work as required

• Activity:
  Prolonged standing and walking, frequent lifting of over 50 pounds, and physical tasks like bending, stretching, pushing, and pulling
• Dexterity:
  Manual dexterity to operate specialized equipment

• Conditions:
  Work may occur in non-climate-controlled environments with exposure to moderate to high noise levels and contaminants such as oils and solvents.
