Patient Coordinator – Front Desk
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | No Weekends
Center for Urologic Care of Berks County (CUC) is looking forfull-time Patient Coordinators to join our Front Desk team!
Our Patient Coordinators are often thefirst face our patients see and the first impression they have of our practice.
This is an important role for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, thrives in a busy environment, and understands that even the smallest interaction can make a difference in a patient's experience.
We're looking for someone who can bring together great customer service, attention to detail, teamwork, and a positive attitude while helping our patients navigate their care.
What You'll Do- Warmly greeting and assisting patients throughout their visit
- Checking patients in and out accurately and efficiently
- Verifying demographic, insurance, and other required patient information
- Scheduling appointments and assisting patients with their next steps in care
- Collecting applicable copays and patient payments
- Answering phones and assisting with patient questions
- Communicating clearly with patients regarding appointments, forms, and practice processes
- Maintaining accurate information within the electronic medical record
- Working closely with providers, clinical staff, and other Patient Coordinators to support efficient patient flow
- Helping identify and resolve issues before they become barriers to a great patient experience
- Protecting patient confidentiality and following HIPAA and practice requirements
- Genuinely enjoy working with and helping people
- Have a strong customer-service mindset and communicate with warmth and professionalism
- Are organized and attentive to details, even when things get busy
- Are comfortable managing multiple priorities and changing needs throughout the day
- Take ownership of your responsibilities and follow through
- Are comfortable learning and using technology and electronic medical records
- Enjoy working collaboratively and jumping in to help your teammates
- Bring a positive, solutions-focused approach to your work
- Understand that healthcare can be stressful for patients and approach interactions with patience and compassion
- Previous medical office or healthcare experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who brings strong customer-service skills, reliability, and a desire to learn.
