The Pre Op/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, continuously evaluating the patient’s condition and ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy. The nurse may assist physicians in the procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and sterile techniques as needed. The nurse will provide comprehensive care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and family preparation for discharge.

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
