DescriptionLead a team dedicated to resident safety, security, and exceptional service in a premier senior living community. Coordinate emergency preparedness, oversee daily operations, and help create a safe, welcoming environment for residents, families, and guests.
Safety Hazards and Physical Environment:
- General office working conditions.
- May be exposed to blood borne pathogens - Low Risk.
- May be exposed to communicable diseases.
- May be exposed to rare occasions during which it is necessary to interact with a resident exhibiting aggressive behavior.
Summary of Responsibilities:
The Resident and Community Lead is responsible for the oversight of the Resident and Community Associates. The Resident and Community Lead will direct and coordinate activities relating to the protection, safeguarding, and security of company assets, employees, residents, invitees, and others. Ensure goals and objectives are accomplished with prescribed priorities, time limitations and fiscal responsibilities. Exercises independent judgment while carrying out overall responsibilities and other activities as assigned.
Essential Functions/Duties:
- Coordinates activities within the safety and access management area.
- Orders supplies and equipment as needed.
- Performs audits of operational performance and conducts physical surveys, including inspection of protective equipment condition.
- Schedules, initiates, and documents fire readiness drills as required by regulation or as deemed appropriate in all levels of care.
- In an emergency situation, serves as a liaison with public law enforcement, fire, and other agencies as it relates to protective operations at The Highlands at Wyomissing.
- Provides work directives for assigned personnel.
- Sets deadlines to ensure completion of operational functions.
- Participate in and completes all required ongoing training, including monthly online and in-person training, annual skills competencies education, and role‑specific certifications, to ensure continued competence and adherence to organizational and regulatory standards.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position in a health care facility that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The position requires the ability to work during nonstandard hours when the need arises. Weekend, holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
- Work during inclement weather will be required.
Travel:
- Limited travel primarily to/ from residential areas may be expected for this position.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (Required)
- 1-3 Years of experience in a related role (Preferred)
