The Maintenance Technician supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience supporting transformer manufacturing or high-voltage electrical equipment is preferred.
A. Responsibilities and Duties- Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Support maintenance of transformer-related equipment, including ovens, vacuum systems, oil processing equipment, and test systems (preferred)
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Comply with all safety policies including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, and PPE requirements
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to minimize downtime
- Assist vendors and contractors during repairs or upgrades
- Required:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment
- Preferred:
- Experience in transformer manufacturing or high-voltage electrical equipment
- Familiarity with vacuum drying ovens, oil processing systems, or electrical test equipment
- PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
- Electrical license or trade certification
- Experience supporting new equipment installation or plant startups
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication and documentation skills
- Flexibility to support overtime or off-shift work as needed
- On Site Full Time
