Float Requirements:
Float to other departments when ICU census is low.
Required Experience &
Skills:
- 2 years ICU experience
- Ventilator management (Trach, ETT)
- Titrating sedation (Versed, Propofol, Fentanyl) & vasopressors
- Cardizem & Amiodarone drips, DKA insulin drips
- CVP lines, Art lines (rarely)
- Defibrillation, med management during Code Blue
- Cardioversion
- Preferred:
Critical care experience
Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS.
Education:
AS in Nursing.
Equipment & EMR:
Phillips ICU Monitor, Meditech, Baxter IV pumps, bladder scanner.
Supervisor:
Wenda Campbell, RN, Director of ICU.
Dress Code:
Any solid color scrubs; no prints or hooded sweatshirts; hospital logo T-shirts allowed.
