Wythe County Community Hospital ER is a 14‑bed ER with a Fast Track area that can accommodate up to 8 patients. The ER is certified as a Stroke Ready Facility by The Joint Commission. The ER nurse patient ratio is 1:4. The ER is staffed with Nurse Techs, Monitor Techs, and RNs. • Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Perform timely and appropriate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record
• Complete and review the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Perform timely and accurate QI assessments

• Current VA or compact RN license required
• At least one year of previous ER experience strongly preferred
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS and PALS certification required within 90 days of hire
• Handle with Care certification required within one year of hire

Hourly range: $32.34 - $43.66
