Registered Nurse (RN) – ED

Schedule:

Mid Shift, with rotating weekends

Registered Nurse (RN) at Wythe County Community Hospital (WCCH) will provide direct patient care in the 14‑bed Emergency Department, supporting an ER nurse–patient ratio of 1:4.

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age.
• Perform timely and accurate documentation of medical necessity.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Conduct timely and accurate QI assessments.

• Current VA or compact RN license.
• At least one year of prior ER experience (strongly preferred).
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Handle with Care certification within one year of hire.

Hourly range: $28.94 – $39.06.
