Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled ER RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Wytheville, Virginia. The role involves high‑pressure patient care in an emergency department, ensuring rapid assessment, triage, treatment, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

• One year of recent experience as an ER RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC Certification

• TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, and SANE certifications
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

• Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity
• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per protocols
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatments and examinations
• Monitor patient comfort and safety, responding to immediate needs
• Observe and document patient conditions as required within scope of practice
• Take and monitor vital signs, addressing deviations to prevent complications
• Respond to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, and protocols
• Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR
• Initiate patient education plans individualized to acute care needs
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and support staff
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Proficiency in reading instructions, following verbal instructions, and basic PC skills
• Physical ability to remain stationary, move about, and maneuver equipment (50‑100 lbs)
• Interpersonal skills to work positively with diverse personnel
• Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and procedure assistance
• Mental resilience to manage frequent public contact and deadlines under pressure
