Army National Guard Indirect Fire Infantryman
Salary: $50,000 yearly
Full-time
You will be in charge of the Infantry’s most powerful weapon – the mortar. As part of a mortar squad, section, or platoon, you will perform tasks that contribute to the effectiveness and safety of the unit.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, maintain, and prepare the mortar for rapid deployment and fire missions.
- Train and work alongside small‑arms, anti‑tank, and other weapon systems as part of an integrated infantry squad.
- Capture, destroy, and repel enemy ground forces during assault or defensive operations.
- Attack, repel, and defend ground positions as directed by unit objectives.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and meet Army National Guard enlistment criteria.
- Completion of basic infantry training and advanced infantry skills training required.
- Physical fitness and ability to meet the standards of the National Guard Minimum Infantry Skill Training (MIST).
