Volunteer Position:
Database & Donor Records Volunteer

Time Commitment: 8–16 hours per week (flexible schedule)

Position Summary

Emerge Recovery & Trade Initiative is seeking a detail-oriented volunteer to help maintain the accuracy and integrity of our donor and constituent database. This behind-the-scenes role is essential to supporting fundraising, donor stewardship, and organizational growth. The ideal volunteer enjoys working with data, values organization, and wants to make a meaningful impact through administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter and update donor, volunteer, and constituent records.
  • Process donations and ensure gifts are accurately recorded.
  • Review records for accuracy and eliminate duplicate entries.
  • Assist with donor acknowledgments and thank-you letter preparation.
  • Maintain accurate contact information and communication preferences.
  • Generate basic reports for fundraising and development activities.
  • Support mailing list management for appeals, newsletters, and events.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of donor information.
  • Assist with special data projects and database clean-up as needed.
Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable using computers and learning database software (experience with donor databases or CRM systems is a plus).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent discretion with confidential information.
  • Passion for supporting the mission of Emerge Recovery & Trade Initiative.
