Overview
AV Inc. seeks a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to manage, administer, and coordinate industrial security and related activities in a dynamic, high‑tempo environment. The FSO ensures compliance with government and company security policies and processes, processes personnel security clearances, and maintains all related documentation.
Responsibilities- Maintain all security documentation and files in accordance with DCSA requirements.
- Process and maintain Facility Security Clearance (FCL) submissions and related documentation.
- Generate, compile, and disseminate DD‑254s and sub‑DD254s.
- Manage Standard Practice Procedures (SPP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Emergency Action Plans.
- Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations.
- Provide new‑employee security briefings, exit interviews, custodial debriefings, and investigate and report security incidents.
- Maintain classified holdings and prepare classified transmittals per NISPOM guidelines.
- Help oversee annual refresher training and support DCSA Security Vulnerability Assessments.
- Partner with internal and external clients to identify and address escalated contractual, personnel, facility, and information‑security issues.
- Provide security support to Human Resources, Contracts, and Proposal teams and advise personnel on reporting requirements.
- Interpret government policies for development and implementation of security plans and procedures.
- Create and utilize Security Classification Guides and manage a Document Inventory & Control Program for classified systems, media, and documents.
- Participate in development and execution of security education programs.
- Perform daily security activities and enforce security policies.
- Top Secret clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience; DCSA FSO certification.
- Experience with ICD‑705, secure builds, and NISPOM implementation.
- Knowledge of DCIDS, ICDs, Executive Orders, and government security processes.
- Proven ability to provide personnel security guidance per 13 adjudicative guidelines.
- Experience with handling PII and safeguards for protecting information.
- Familiarity with DISS, NISS, NBIS, eAPP, and SIMS.
- Excellent oral and written communication; exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with corporate executives and high‑level government contacts.
Office environment with constant sitting and standing. Required to use hands and fingers to operate computer and telephone keyboard frequently.
Special RequirementsU.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (green card holder) per ITAR definition. Clearance level:
Top Secret.
Salary range: $80,500 – $114,450, adjusted based on location, role, responsibilities, experience, education, and skills.
ITAR & Export Control RequirementsPosition requires access to ITAR‑controlled information and may be subject to export licensing. Applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR and may need approval for an export license. Certain contract requirements may also mandate U.S. citizenship.
