Mechanic

Transdev in Xenia, OH is seeking a Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining gasoline engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

• Competitive compensation: $23.00/hr – $25.00/hr
• Vacation: minimum of two weeks
• Sick days: 5 days
• Holidays: 12 days (8 standard and 4 floating)

• Company paid ASE testing and training materials

• Perform repairs and replacements on fleet of Light Transit Vehicles and Ford Transits – gasoline engines.
• Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks.
• Execute routine preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauls and rebuilds to required specifications.
• Perform other duties as required.

• 2 years of experience as a Mechanic
• Age 21 years or older
• ASE certifications preferred for new hires (not required); program provided with incentive.
• Mechanic’s own tool set.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 regarding Schedule I drugs.

• Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules.
• Long periods stooping, standing on cement, navigating stairs, and working in a shop environment.
• Work environment includes both indoors and outdoors, all seasons; assist with accident scenes and road calls.
• Utilize PPE to maintain a safe, clean working environment.
• Schedules may change with seasons.
