Engine Mechanic

Quick Pro Staffing is seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment, diesel machinery, and small engines. This position is ideal for a dependable, hands‑on mechanic who enjoys working in a fast‑paced shop environment and takes pride in quality workmanship.

The Shop Mechanic will work closely with the Shop Manager and other team members to ensure equipment is maintained and repaired safely, efficiently, and accurately. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, vendors, and management.

• Lead by example by following safe work practices and maintaining a safety-first approach.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment, including:
  • Skid steers
  • Mini excavators
  • Mini skids
  • Tractors
  • Diesel-powered equipment
  • Lawn and small-engine equipment
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, tractors, skid steers, and similar machinery.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and related components.
• Identify parts and materials needed for repairs and maintenance and assist with ordering as necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and work area.
• Document work performed and clearly communicate equipment conditions and repair needs.
• Follow company shop procedures, safety standards, and best practices.
• Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide professional customer service when interacting with customers and vendors.
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment and customers as needed.
• Work with the Shop Manager and team to ensure daily shop, yard, and equipment tasks are completed efficiently.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

• Valid Ohio Driver's License with a clean driving record required.
• Proven experience repairing and maintaining diesel equipment and machinery.
• Experience with hydraulic systems, repair, and maintenance.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing small engines.
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
