Permanent Highway Maintenance Worker 1 (HMW1) or Highway Technician 1 (HT1)

Compensation and SchedulePay: HMW1 $ 21.48 per hour or HT1 $ 22.29 per hour
Schedule:
Full‑time, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (may vary)
Union: OCSEA
Responsibilities- Serve the public and maintain safer roads throughout Ohio
- Attend training to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) if not already licensed
- Perform highway maintenance activities, including flagging, pothole patching, guardrail repair, litter pickup, and mowing
- Execute snow and ice operations as needed

- For Highway Technician 1: 3 months training or 3 months experience in operation of basic equipment
- Highway Maintenance skills (active learning, flexibility, listening, teamwork)
All new hires in the bargaining unit must serve a one (1) year probationary period.
The position is overtime eligible under FLSA standards.
Selected candidates will undergo a criminal background check and drug screening as required by federal regulations. Marijuana, including medical marijuana, is prohibited.
