Licensed Practical Nurse

Role

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for assisting in the coordination and delivery of nursing services within a healthcare facility.

• Assist in directing nursing services for a unit or hall, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, and delegate duties to nursing staff.
• Monitor patients for symptoms or reactions, including physical and mental conditions that may indicate adverse changes.
• Notify physicians of emergencies or patient deaths and implement orders as instructed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure quality patient care.

• High school diploma and graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, valid LPN license from the licensing board, with proof of renewal every other year.
• Willingness to serve as charge nurse and work during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
• Ability to deliver quality nursing care, follow physician orders, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
• Annual CPR certification and participation in in-service training and staff meetings.
