Baker Tilly US, LLP is a licensed independent CPA firm that provides attest services to its clients. Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP and its subsidiary entities offer tax and business advisory services to their clients.
- Serve as a trusted member of the team providing tax, accounting and advisory services to small business clients.
- Oversee and provide services pertaining to accounting, bookkeeping and prepared or compiled financials.
- Review and analyze accounting records and reporting with clients, provide analysis and consultation, and communicate with clients to discuss accounting and business matters.
- Deliver best‑in‑class customer service to clients with an emphasis on responsiveness, timeliness, professionalism and accuracy.
- Lead and plan client engagements, continuously evaluating processes and procedures to implement efficiencies and identify internal control issues.
- Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on knowledge of client operations, processes and objectives.
- Manage and build client relationships, act as liaison to address and resolve client issues, and assist team leaders in researching and providing additional services to clients.
- Delegate and supervise work efforts by setting goals, providing resources, removing obstacles, and scheduling deadlines to meet client expectations for delivery.
- Maintain current knowledge of local, state and federal tax practices and laws.
- Assist with managing client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met.
- Network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients and the community.
- Add to professional development through firm‑wide learning programs and support the growth and development of team members.
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in accounting preferred, master’s or advanced degree preferred.
- CPA, Law License or Enrolled Agent required.
- Five (5)+ years of experience providing federal and state tax compliance, accounting and advisory services in a professional services firm.
- Two (2)+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates.
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, and demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.
- High‑level software and Microsoft Suite skills.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
