Location:

Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 DOE & location-specific compensation.

Transforming Age is a national nonprofit network based in Bellevue, Washington. Founded in 1956, it is dedicated to reshaping the perception of aging by integrating housing, community services, technology, and philanthropy to enhance independence, purpose and quality of life for older adults.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the workers’ compensation program, including injury prevention, claim reporting, vendor coordination and return-to-work practices.
- Analyze workers’ compensation trends and root causes and partner with HR and Operations to implement targeted safety and injury-reduction initiatives.
- Serve as the primary internal liaison with third‑party administrators, insurance carriers, legal counsel and brokers.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state workers’ compensation laws and reporting requirements across all operating states.
- Lead the organization’s fleet safety and driver risk programs, including driver qualification standards, MVR monitoring, vehicle usage policies and accident review processes.
- Develop and implement driver training, incident investigation and corrective action programs to reduce vehicle‑related losses.
- Analyze vehicle accident data and trends and recommend improvements to policy, training and operational practices regarding fleet safety.
- Audit internal records for compliance with the organization’s fleet safety policies.
- Develop, maintain and enforce workers’ compensation, safety, fleet and employee injury incident reporting policies and procedures.
- Partner with HR and Operations to deliver safety training and risk education on workers’ compensation and fleet safety.
- Support regulatory compliance efforts, including trainings related to safety, fleet safety, OSHA, DOT and applicable state and federal requirements.
- Track, audit and report key risk metrics, including workers’ compensation and auto claims frequency, severity and costs as well as fleet incidents and insurance trends.
- Prepare executive-level dashboards, analyses and recommendations for senior leadership and the board.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, community executive directors, community/vertical HR leaders and operations teams.
- Influence without authority; balance risk mitigation with operational practicality.
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement aligned with organizational values and the Culture of Excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Safety or a related field, or equivalent experience (Master’s degree preferred).
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in workers’ compensation, safety or insurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in workers’ compensation and fleet safety within healthcare, senior living and/or a multi‑site service environment.
- Proven ability to analyze claims data, identify trends and translate insights into actionable prevention strategies.
- Deep understanding of employment-related risks, insurance structures and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to think strategically while remaining operational and detail-oriented.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams); experience with claims or HRIS systems is a plus.
