Position: Project Manager (Construction)

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Project Manager to oversee multiple road construction and striping projects. This role is responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and field operations while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards. The Project Manager will lead project teams, coordinate with subcontractors and agency representatives, and play a key role in business development and client relations.

Location:
Pacific, WA - this is an ON-SITE position no remote work

Compensation: $95,000 - $110,000 annually

Requirements:

  • Oversee and manage multiple road striping and construction projects from planning to completion
  • Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and ensure adherence to project timelines
  • Analyze and interpret construction plans and specifications to ensure project compliance
  • Lead communication and coordination efforts with subcontractors, suppliers, and agency representatives (e.g., project engineers, inspectors, and regulatory officials)
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost‑saving opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and company safety policies
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, resolve issues, and ensure quality workmanship
  • Review project billable quantities, costs, and financial reports to identify discrepancies
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, submittals, warranties, and apprentice reporting
  • Mentor and develop junior project managers and field staff
  • Support business development efforts by assisting with bids, client proposals, and estimating costs for potential projects

Experience

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in the road construction or striping industry
  • Extensive experience managing large-scale construction projects, budgets, and field operations
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, contracts, and technical specifications
  • Experience negotiating contracts, managing subcontractors, and working with government agencies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and project management software
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget

Skills Required:

  • Leadership and team management skills to guide project teams effectively
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with clients, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
  • In‑depth knowledge of OSHA standards, DOT regulations, and construction best practices
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze budgets, costs, and project profitability

Education Required:

  • Vocational training or a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or a related field

Physical Requirements:

  • Work in both office and field settings, requiring adaptability to various conditions

Work Environment:

  • Regular travel to and from job sites
  • Combination of office and fieldwork, requiring adaptability to various environments and conditions
