Job Responsibilities
- Manage 3-6 pediatric patients per shift
- Conduct approximately 5 emergency department consults per shift
- Perform lumbar punctures, X-ray interpretation, EKG interpretation, and suturing minor lacerations
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Pediatrics
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Fellowship in Pediatrics preferred
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
Working Hours
- 24-hour shifts with the possibility of up to 3 consecutive shifts
- Overnight call taken from home
Skills
- Expertise in general pediatrics and hospitalist medicine
- Proficient in basic interpretations and procedures such as X-ray, EKG, and lumbar punctures
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family interactions
