Salary: $17.50 per hour - Part-Time

403(B) Eligibility:
Employees are eligible to participate in this employer paid tax favored retirement plan if they are age 21, and have worked for the Diocese of Yakima for 12 consecutive months, and worked 1000 hours in each 12-month period.
Christ the Teacher Catholic School is seeking a part-time Preschool Teacher Assistant. The preschool teacher assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the lead teacher and ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. Here are some key duties and responsibilities:
- Assist with Lesson Plans:
Help the lead teacher prepare and implement daily lesson plans and activities. - Classroom Management:
Support in managing classroom behavior and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment. - Student Support:
Provide individual attention to students, assisting with academic and developmental activities. - Observation and Reporting:
Observe and record student behavior, performance, and health, and report findings to the lead teacher. - Basic Skills Teaching:
Aid in teaching basic skills such as color, shape, number, and letter recognition. - Daily Routines:
Assist children with daily routines, including snacks, recess time, and personal hygiene. - Parent Communication:
Communicate effectively with parents about their child’s progress and behavior.
