As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will manage the schedule and technical quality of complex engineering tasks while becoming familiar with client expectations, project scope, budget, and timelines. You will be part of a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team, conceptualizing initial civil designs, preparing grading plans, and performing essential calculations related to earthwork and drainage/stormwater.
Your key contributions will include:- Site development, master planning, and site selection.
- Routing underground utilities and planning site spaces.
- Conducting hydrology analysis for efficient storm drain system designs.
- Analyzing and designing gravitational wastewater systems.
- Creating final grading plans, including cut and fill analysis and earthwork balancing.
- Developing erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans, and providing support for permit approvals.
- Researching and adhering to local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements for design and construction.
- Performing stormwater analysis and modeling using software applications like Storm
CAD and Civil Storm.
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- A PE license or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
- 15 or more years of engineering experience with extensive project involvement.
- A strong working knowledge of medium to large scale industrial development analysis and design.
- Demonstrated proficiency with all design modules of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively within diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
- A keen ability to learn quickly and a desire to expand your knowledge base.
- Experience with Bluebeam.
- Familiarity with Navisworks.
