Job Description
POSITION
PURPOSE:
The primary purpose of this role is to support improvement of existing processes, design, install, configure and maintain manufacturing systems to reduce costs, improve equipment reliability, and develop best practices within the production process. The focus of the Process Engineer's work is on maintaining reliable and safe manufacturing systems, while improving quality, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.
The Process Engineer is a part of the plant staff driven to identify, develop, and deliver innovative solutions that improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving safety and quality standards.

- Must keep work area clean and safe.
- Understanding and daily practice of 5S.
- Communicate with all Operations and Maintenance personnel.
- Participate in GMP and food safety training.
- Reports all food safety concerns with urgency.
Performs additional responsibilities/job duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related Technical Discipline.
- 5‑10+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of Blown Film Extrusion experience.
- Strong mechanical, electrical and manufacturing process skills/experience.
- Experience supporting and leading Lean manufacturing activities.
- Analytical skills and understanding of problem‑solving techniques/tools.
- Data‑driven, disciplined, objective and detail oriented.
- Strong communication skills. Demonstrated ability to act as a business partner, “see the big picture,” and work through ambiguity and change.
- Advanced computer knowledge with MS Office applications (Excel, Access, etc.) and other computer tools and software.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of pre‑employment background and drug screen.
