Minimum Qualifications:- High School, GED, or comparable work experience at a technical level related to residential energy conservation analysis and residential construction.
- Demonstrated experience in building construction and building renovation in a decision-making capacity. Working knowledge of the Uniform Building Code and other residential construction codes.
- Demonstrated experience in the residential or commercial energy field at a field/technical level.
- Certification as a Building Analyst through the Building Performance Institute and as a Department of Energy (DOE) Quality Control Inspector (QCI).
- Proficiency with energy modeling software.
- Associates of Arts Degree

Salary Range:$23.85 - $31.11 per hour
Position Overview:The Weatherization Auditor/ Inspector will evaluate the energy efficiency and health/safety components of a building by gathering data and conducting tests. This position will use energy modeling software to identify areas for savings and reduction of energy consumption, improve the safety, and increase the lifespan of the building, while improving the quality of life and comfort for the occupants.
Essential Duties:- Collect accurate and detailed information to conduct the building pre-audit and complete audit;
- Use technical tools such as blower door, combustion safety equipment, infrared camera, analytical skills, and methodology to conduct building tests;
- Collect information on appliances, energy base loads, building measurements, health and safety data, mechanical ventilation data, electrical and plumbing systems, building insulation (attic, walls, and foundation), windows, doors, and roof;
- Evaluate the collected data from testing and physical examination of the building components, mechanical systems, structure, physical condition, and environmental influences. This includes proficiency in entering empirical data into modeling software and interpreting the results;
- Prepare a formal scope of work from the evaluation, followed by an estimate of cost based on agency pricing;
- Coordinate with the contractor or internal crew during construction;
- Perform in-progress inspections with a final, formal inspection process like the audit process that requires understanding of Program Specifications, Policies, and Procedures;
- Work closely with the Weatherization Program Director and the Associate Director during the process on technical, client files, and fiscal issues;
- Prepare reports as requested and participate in the monitoring processes by regulatory agencies and grantors as needed;

- Knowledge of standard materials, methods, and the tools involved in the analysis, construction, or repair of houses and buildings per program requirements;
