Job Purpose

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides Christ-centered executive leadership and strategic financial oversight for YUGM. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the CFO ensures the organization’s financial integrity, sustainability, and readiness for growth in a predominantly donor-funded environment. The CFO oversees financial planning, forecasting, cash flow management, and risk management while serving as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors.

This role partners across the ministry to align financial strategy with organizational priorities, strengthen stewardship, support mission impact, and foster long-term organizational health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executive Leadership & Organizational Influence
    • Serve as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to organizational strategy and decision‑making.
    • Collaborate with executive leaders to align ministry goals, operational priorities, and financial resources.
    • Help equip organizational leaders with financial understanding, accountability, and decision‑making support.
    • Promote healthy communication, trust, and collaboration across departments.
    • Champion organizational change initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
    • Model servant leadership and foster a culture consistent with YUGM’s mission, vision, and leadership expectations.
  • Strategic Financial Leadership
    • Lead multi‑year financial planning, including revenue projections, expense modeling, and capital planning.
    • Develop scenario‑based financial strategies (expected, downside, and growth cases).
