Yakima, WA

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday or 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, schedule to be finalized.

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Properly explains the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection.
• Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles. Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens as required.
• Ensure specimens stored at correct temperature and labeled accurately.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.
• Answer telephone calls, read laboratory results for inquiries.

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state (as required).
• Minimum 6 months of experience performing venipunctures in a fast‑paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of overall experience.

• Experience with pediatrics and geriatrics specimen collection.
