At Travis Pattern and Foundry, we are looking to expand our payroll/HR team. We are searching for a full‑time, hourly, non‑exempt payroll clerk & HR recruiting coordinator. As the payroll clerk you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely issuance of payroll. This position is a full‑time position in which you will spend approximately 50% of your time doing general payroll duties.

The other remaining 50% of the time will be spent providing administrative support in the HR and Payroll office. The amount of time spent on different duties may fluctuate seasonally and based on company need.

Payroll Duties/Responsibilities
  • Data entry of payroll & new hire information into Dayforce HRIS software
  • Assembly and organizing of new hire files
  • Timecard/timesheet review, clean‑up and preparation for payroll processing
  • Communicate with department leadership to resolve timesheet questions
  • Collaborate with Dayforce managed payroll team as necessary
  • Assist with report generation for points, attendance, raises, etc.
  • Setup and distribution of employee pay cards (as necessary)
  • Management and processing of payroll including distribution, and reissue of checks or returned ACH
  • Understand and process complex union contract agreements as it pertains to payroll
  • Receive and submit garnishment paperwork to Dayforce managed payroll
  • Work directly with Human Resources on worker’s compensation, sick leave and leaves of absence issues and payments
  • Address and resolve payroll and timesheet discrepancies
  • Provide support for employee inquiries related to payroll and timesheet concerns
  • Filing, scanning, other clerical duties
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Screening, reviewing and qualifying applicants
  • Conduct preliminary phone screens
  • Schedule and arrange in‑person interviews for Plant leadership
  • Assist with and/or attend job fairs/recruiting activities
  • Other duties as assigned
HR Duties/Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date human resource files, records, and documentation
  • Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior‑level HR staff or management
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department
  • Meet with new hires, review company policies, assist with the completion of new hire paperwork
