As an HR Specialist, you’ll bring hands-on and administrative expertise to a wide range of HR functions, including employee experience and onboarding, talent acquisition, payroll and benefit administration, compliance, Learning & Development, and operational excellence. You’ll play a vital role in shaping the employee experience, supporting our teams, and driving initiatives that align with our values and HMA business goals.

What YOU will do:

Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Support the Recruiting Program Manager by coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, and helping deliver a positive candidate experience that reflects HMA’s People First values.
  • Support HMA’s onboarding program by serving as an additional point of contact for new hires from offer acceptance through completion of onboarding activities, assist in scheduling and participating in new hire orientation sessions.
  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements, follow up on equipment, system access, and survey completion, and help ensure new hires are prepared for a smooth Day One experience.
  • Support I-9 verification and EEO data collection in accordance with applicable requirements and internal processes.
  • Partner with IT, Payroll, Benefits, and department leaders to help confirm equipment, access, and training needs are completed timely.
HR Administration
  • Provide administrative support to the Chief People Officer, Director of Human Resources, and People Operations team, including scheduling, document preparation, coordination, and follow-up.
  • Create, maintain, and update the annual HR calendar and related planning documents.
  • Support bi-weekly payroll processing by reviewing timecard readiness and following up on outstanding items.
  • Support leave of absence processes, including tracking, follow-up, and employee communications as directed.
  • Administer the quarterly recognition program through applicable systems and employee communications.
  • Administer the Learning & Development Reimbursement Program by reviewing submissions, supporting policy adherence, and coordinating timely reimbursement processing.
