SUMMARY:

The Health Systems Administrator is responsible for planning, administering, optimizing, and supporting the Colville Tribes Health Care Authority's health information systems. The position serves as the primary administrator for the Electronic Health Record (EHR), clinical applications, interfaces, reporting tools, and related healthcare technology. The incumbent collaborates with clinical, administrative, and technical staff to improve patient care, strengthen data integrity, ensure regulatory compliance, and support quality improvement initiatives while honoring the mission and values of Tribal healthcare.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Administer, maintain, and optimize the organization's EHR and supporting clinical applications, including Next Gen, RPMS, Dentrix, and future enterprise systems.

Lead health information system implementations, upgrades, testing, and change management initiatives.

Develop and maintain clinical templates, workflows, order sets, clinical reminders, user roles, and security permissions.

Serve as the primary liaison between clinical staff, leadership, vendors, and IT personnel.

Provide advanced troubleshooting for clinical applications and coordinate issue resolution.

Develop policies, procedures, and standard operating documentation related to health information systems.

Coordinate user onboarding, training, competency assessments, and ongoing education.

Support reporting requirements for GPRA, UDS, CMS, HRSA, IHS, quality improvement, and organizational performance metrics.

Monitor system performance, data quality, interoperability, and interface functionality.

Participate in strategic planning for healthcare technology and digital transformation initiatives.

Provide after-hours support for critical system issues when necessary.

Install, configure, and update workstations, servers, printers, and operating systems.

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity problems for employees.

Complies with and ensures compliance with applicable legislation, funding and organizational requirements, policies and procedures.

Ensure confidential handling of sensitive team member information in line with data protection policies and laws.

Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of clinic processes, patient care activities, the clinical environment, and how the services and functions interact.

Strong computer skills with knowledge of computer operating systems, database structures, LAN/WAN principles, and healthcare databases and applications.

Knowledge of medical records procedures and protocols.

Requires sufficient knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation to prepare professional correspondence and write and edit report text.

Maintain positive and professional relations.

Excellent customer service skills, self-starter, able to multi-task, and is detail-oriented.

Ability to guide, train, and support clinicians and others through design, adoption, tailoring, and use of clinical computing applications and systems.

Ability to interpret and present data clearly in tabular or graphic forms, operate office machines, and follow oral and written instructions.

Exceptional organizational skills.

Maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.

Ability to communicate technical information and to interact with a wide variety of groups and individuals inside and outside the organization.

Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work processes in a high-volume environment to meet schedules and timelines.

Ability to analyze data from multiple information sources by comparing and contrasting data to draw a conclusion or to identify trends.

Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and non-verbal format while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language.

Ability to take initiative and be proactive in the duties of the position to meet mandated deadlines and to comply with goals and objectives.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.

Ability to comprehend complex issues.

Sufficient visual acuity to write, recognize printed materials, computer screen, and notice non-verbal behavior.

Ability to work after hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Ability to drive in adverse weather conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
