IT Support Specialist
As an IT Support Specialist in our Washington office, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our employees. Your main duties will include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up new systems, and maintaining our network infrastructure. You will also be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of computer systems and networks, and the ability to work well under pressure.
This is a full-time position with a starting salary of 1500$ per month.
As an IT Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical support to employees via phone, email or in person
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, printers, and other devices
- Installing and configuring new computer systems and applications
- Maintaining network infrastructure including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitoring system performance to ensure availability and reliability
- Conducting regular backups of data to ensure its integrity
- Implementing security measures to protect against cyber threats
- Assisting with technology upgrades and implementation of new systems
- Documenting technical processes and procedures for future reference
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred but not required)
- Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Mac), networking concepts, and common software applications (MS Office)
- Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure
- Good time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
