Operations Manager
A Branch Manager leads a location’s operations, overseeing profit and loss, inventory, and staffing while driving safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction in a large‑scale construction materials distribution environment.
Responsibilities- Accountable for profit and loss and inventory/accounts receivable for assigned location(s). Achieve EBIT, ROIC, and ROS goals.
- Safeguard company assets and associates; provide operational oversight and effective inventory‑management procedures.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet service, financial, and operational demands. Utilize training programs to develop sales and operations expertise.
- Initiate and build customer relationships with existing and new customers.
- Act as liaison to functional leadership to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
- Monitor local market trends, develop and execute strategies to grow local market share, and aggressively pursue business opportunities.
- Work closely with vendors to maximize sales and increase profitability.
- Ensure efficient operations through adherence to policies and procedures, process excellence, compliance with applicable government regulations, and environmental health and safety responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Generally has 7+ years of experience in a related field.
- This position requires operation of a company vehicle or a personal vehicle consistently more than 20% of the average work week, with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
- Experience with sales‑order computer software, preferably Oracle.
- Wholesale distribution experience.
- Spanish language proficiency.
Pay Range: $87,300.00 – $ annually. The range is determined based on market data and internal pay practices. Individual base pay is based on a variety of factors, including experience and skills.
