Quality Assurance Manager Summary
The Quality Director establishes, leads, and continuously refines agency-wide quality assurance systems across all KIM residential homes and community programs. This position is directly responsible for embedding KIM’s Standards of Excellence—Consistency in Care, Integrity in Operations, and Stability & Growth—into daily operational workflows, staff expectations, and client support environments. The Quality Director works collaboratively with program leadership to ensure that every client receives the same high standard of care, every shift, every day.
By combining hands‑on site evaluations with transparent, data‑driven audit processes, the Quality Director safeguards client safety, drives protocol adherence, and builds the operational foundation needed for sustained agency growth.

- Identify operational barriers quickly and solve them openly, utilizing staff feedback to continuously improve processes.
- Design, implement, and enforce standardized quality assurance protocols across all residential homes to ensure reliability and precision in client support services.
- Direct and conduct regular, unannounced quality assurance evaluations and site inspections in full alignment with KIM standards, WAC guidelines, and DDA expectations.
- Monitor shift-by-shift protocol adherence, identifying variance in service delivery and implementing immediate corrective measures to maintain client safety and staff confidence.
- Collaborate with program managers and training leads to educate employees on how their daily work directly impacts the agency’s quality management framework.
- Serve as the primary resource for root‑cause analysis, identifying operational barriers quickly and addressing compliance or care gaps openly.
- Establish clear metrics, control frameworks, and reporting dashboards to evaluate system effectiveness and provide executive leadership with accurate, honest data.
- Ensure all records relating to client intake, quality policies, and regulatory mandates are meticulously maintained and audit‑ready.
- Analyze quality trends, site inspection data, and outcome metrics to strengthen KIM’s foundational operations, directly supporting long‑term capacity and program vitality.
- Partner with leadership on workflow improvements that streamline client intake, improve responsiveness to guardians and DDA/RCS representatives, and support full occupancy goals.
- Prepare annual program descriptions, quality evaluations, and progress reports to demonstrate service outcomes to external stakeholders and state bodies.
- Directly supervise, mentor, and evaluate the QA Manager, fostering a proactive and supportive team culture.
- Lead internal quality committee meetings and represent KIM professionally during external audits, state examinations, and stakeholder interactions.
- Actively listen and respond promptly to concerns raised by clients, families, guardians, DDA representatives, and direct care staff.
- Reinforce KIM’s core culture, ensuring that the needs, rights, and choices of all supported clients are honored with dignity, respect, and professional ethics.
