Technician Assembly Test – 2nd Shift

Location:

Yakima, WA 98903

Shift Details

Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday – Friday, 2:00 pm – 10:30 am

Shift Premium: 10% added to base hourly rate.

Summary

Assemble and finish production components to specifications, perform functional tests, recognize and report defective parts with little to no supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assemble critical tolerance hydraulic assembly components following work instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Finish applications such as lockwire, sealant, and paint touch‑up. Install identification plates, grease fittings, clamps, and zip ties.
  • Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments to monitor and verify drawing/work order requirements are met.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with manufacturing planning, quality plans, and engineering drawings.
  • Calibrate pressure gauges and transducers per Acceptance Test Procedure requirements.
  • Understand and complete acceptance test procedures with little to no supervision.
  • Ensure part quality by utilizing correct tooling and standard practices.
  • Meet production deadlines by following manufacturing schedule and procedures.
  • Work with support resources and cell leaders to resolve production problems when they arise.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies, contributing to risk mitigation management teams, and keeping all work areas clean.
  • Contribute to team effort by maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Continuously seek ways to make the manufacturing process more efficient and effective.
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the assembly department through participation in FOD, 5S, TPM, PM, and Process Improvement programs.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • General mechanical knowledge or background required.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to perform applied math calculations used in mechanical assembly (including measurements, conversions, and tolerances).
  • Familiarity with precision measuring devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret part drawings/blueprints, including dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Ability to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics.
Pay Range

$20.62 – $32.00 per hour (may vary with education level, qualifications, and experience).

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear. Frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
