Position: Technician, Assembly Test 3

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and finish production components according to specifications; perform functional testing; identify and report defective parts; and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Assemble various critical tolerance hydraulic assembly components while following work instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Finish applications such as lockwire, sealant, and paint touch‑up. Install identification plates, grease fittings, clamps, and zip ties.
  • Use a variety of hand tools and precision measuring instruments to monitor and verify drawing/work order requirements.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with manufacturing planning, quality plans, and engineering drawings.
  • Calibrate pressure gauges and transducers per Acceptance Test Procedure requirements.
  • Understand and complete acceptance test procedures with little to no supervision.
  • Ensure part quality by utilizing the correct tooling and standard practices.
  • Meet production deadlines by following manufacturing schedules and procedures.
  • Work with support resources and cell leaders to resolve production problems when they arise.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies, contributing to risk‑mitigation management teams, and keeping all work areas clean.
  • Contribute to team effort by maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Continuously strive to find ways to make the manufacturing process more efficient and effective.
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the assembly department through participation in FOD, 5S, TPM, PM, and process improvement programs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent required.
  • General mechanical knowledge/background.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands‑on mechanical assembly or 4 years of demonstrated proficiency in a comparable industrial environment.
  • Basic understanding of algebraic concepts.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring devices.
  • Ability to read part drawings/blueprints, including dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics.

Demonstrates expertise in mechanical assembly, quality assurance, and adherence to safety protocols while effectively utilizing precision measuring instruments and hand tools. Capable of interpreting blueprints and hydraulic schematics to ensure production efficiency and quality.
