Job Title: Communications Manager, Executive Communications and Thought Leadership

The Center for Countering Digital Hate is looking for an experienced communications manager to expand the visibility and influence of our senior leaders. We’re a rapidly growing, international NGO leading global tech reform and accountability. Our work regularly drives coverage across major media and reaches audiences on global stages.

This role will lead the organization’s executive communications and thought leadership program — particularly for the CEO and other senior leaders — building a global strategy that expands the organization’s visibility through speaking engagements, awards, op-eds, podcasts, and other high-impact opportunities across the US, UK, Europe, and other priority markets.

We are looking for someone who is excited by the challenge of opening doors that aren’t already open. This role calls for exceptional writing and a genuine drive to seek opportunities that shape the conversation. The ideal candidate is passionate about growing external visibility for an organization and its senior leaders who are on the front lines of holding tech companies accountable and about helping build a global movement.

This position reports to the Senior Communications Manager and works closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Senior Leadership Team to support the delivery of the organization’s communications strategy and priorities.

• Build and manage the organization’s thought leadership program, including executive communications for the CEO and strategies to expand speaking opportunities for senior leaders
• Develop and manage the organization’s awards strategy and calendar, including recommendations for prioritization and budget allocation
• Develop and manage the organization’s global speaking strategy and calendar, identifying high-impact opportunities across sectors that expand CCDH’s visibility and influence
• Manage and write speaker proposals, award nominations, and related submissions for the CEO and senior leaders
• Build relationships with conference organizers, awards programs, and other external partners while coordinating speaking engagements from submission through delivery
• Partner with the CEO and senior leaders to develop speeches, remarks, talking points, and other executive communications
• Write and place op-eds, with a focus on reaching new audiences and shaping mainstream conversations
• Work with the Senior Communications Manager and EU/UK Communications Lead to develop podcast target lists and outreach strategies for both campaign launches and ongoing thought leadership
• Support the broader team’s media outreach and management in high-profile moments when necessary
• Coach staff and senior leaders on public speaking, messaging, and presentation for external engagements

• 5–7+ years of experience in executive communications and thought leadership, with a genuine passion for the field and a demonstrated commitment to securing high-profile speaking, media, and thought leadership opportunities for senior leaders
• Experience working closely with CEOs and senior leaders to develop their public profile and executive voice
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to draft high-quality first-person content that authentically reflects the voice, tone, and communication style of different senior leaders. Experience securing and pitching external opportunities, including speaking engagements, op-eds, awards, and podcasts
