American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a WA or compact license and at least two years of ICU experience for a night shift assignment.
Responsibilities- Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within the Advanced Care Unit/Coronary Care Unit setting
- Patient population includes CHF, respiratory distress, acute coronary syndrome, A-fib RVR, diabetes, post-catheterization, CVA overflow, and various surgical cases
- Responsibilities include caring for patients with chest tubes, wound vacs, Arterial lines, and performing wound care and dressing changes
- Experienced with drips such as diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, and heparin
- Experience with art line, Impella, and/or IABP is preferred
- Uses Epic EMR, prior experience preferred
- 12-hour night shifts )
- Weekend rotation is every other weekend
- Floating to Telemetry, Med-Surg, and Neurology-Medical units required
20-bed ICU in a 226-bed nonprofit community hospital - Professional scrubs of any color are acceptable
- No on-call responsibilities
- Orientation and unit interview required prior to final approval
- COVID-19 and other hospital vaccination policies may apply
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Active WA or compact RN license required
- Minimum two years of recent ICU RN experience
- Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
- Certifications required: ACLS and BLS
- Ability to provide care for a wide variety of high-acuity patients
- Experience with chest tubes, wound vacs, monitoring femoral arterial sheaths, and common ICU drips required
- References from a supervisor or higher are required for consideration
