Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ACU/CCU (ICU) position at a community hospital in Yakima, WA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and prior completion of at least one travel assignment.

• Active WA RN license or compact RN license (pending license accepted with proof of application date)
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Experience with the listed patient types and procedures required, including chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, and femoral arterial sheath monitoring
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment — first‑time travelers will not be considered
• One reference required for consideration; a second reference (from charge nurse, manager, director, or above) required prior to start

• Work in the ACU/CCU unit of a 226‑bed non‑profit community hospital with 11 ICU beds
• Patient population includes CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, A‑fib RVR, DM, CVA overflow, post‑cath patients (TR bands and femoral approach), and surgical patients (vascular, abdominal, GI)
• Procedures include chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, and monitoring femoral arterial sheaths; travelers will not pull femoral sheaths
• Common drip management includes diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, and heparin
• Arterial line, Impella, and/or IABP experience preferred
• EMR:
  Epic
• 12‑hour night shifts, 1900–0730
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Floating required to Telemetry, Telemetry 2EW, Med‑Surg, and Neurology‑Medical units
• No on‑call requirements
• Scrub color: any color, professional attire
• Clinical interview via Simpli Fi required, with final approval from the unit
