DSHS YVS Licensed Practical Nurse 2
Yakima Valley School is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The nurse checks on residents, administers medications, and monitors health changes to keep them safe and independent.
Responsibilities- Assess the needs of people with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
- Administer medications and treatments to residents to maintain and improve overall health.
- Practice infection control concepts.
- Promote a safe environment for residents.
- Contact physicians and guardians.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
Professionals with a valid license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Washington State, or the ability to obtain a valid license prior to employment.
OpportunitiesOn-site work at least three days a week may qualify for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.
