Part-Time Assistant Manager - Level 1

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part‑Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a huge part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in delivering a great customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can get their hands on the merch they love. You’ll use your fandom knowledge to help train new recruits and support the management team in daily operations and meeting sales targets.

• Provide an amazing shopping experience that will encourage customers to return, showcasing product knowledge, customer experience skills, and use of the Force.
• Step in and step up when needed, covering the sales floor and providing leadership support when your Manager is pulled away.
• Open and close the store as required.
• Work the register; process sales transactions and use your fandom knowledge to drive add‑on sales via BOPIS and curbside pickup. Close out the register and communicate shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
• Understand store sales plan, comp sales goals, and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram changes including store map, wall, fixture, and merchandising mix.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and respective HQ partners.
• Work with Store Management to prevent misuse of magic and prevent theft.
• Maintain the stock room and keep the store tidy.
• Develop and retain a collaborative, passionate team to run the store alongside you.
• Perform any other activities as assigned by Store Leader.

• At least one year of retail store experience. If you love music and pop culture, you’re in the right place.
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, operational and leadership skills.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Physical ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using approved store equipment, and pack and unpack boxes of merch weighing up to 50 pounds.

Compensation: $17.65 - $20.30 an hour.
