The Local Sales Manager is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Yakima, WA. This role oversees local sales activities for broadcast and digital platforms, leading a team of account executives to meet and exceed revenue goals. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include coaching and mentoring sales staff, developing sales strategies, creating and presenting client‑focused marketing solutions, and monitoring performance metrics. The Local Sales Manager collaborates closely with programming, promotion, and digital teams to build integrated advertising packages, manages key client relationships, and ensures high standards of customer service.
The role also includes forecasting, budgeting, reporting on sales results, and staying current with market trends and competitive activity.
- Demonstrated experience in media sales management, including leading local sales teams and driving revenue growth.
- Strong skills in client relationship management, account development, and consultative selling for broadcast and digital products.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans, including forecasting, pipeline management, and performance analysis.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate client needs into effective marketing solutions.
- Proven capability to recruit, train, coach, and motivate sales professionals in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of local advertising markets and trends, particularly in television, radio, and digital marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to work on‑site in Yakima, WA, with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local client meetings.
