Role DescriptionThe Used Car Sales Manager is a full‑time, on‑site role based in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area. This position oversees the daily operations of the pre‑owned vehicle department, including supervising sales staff, setting sales targets, and monitoring performance. The manager is responsible for managing inventory, pricing vehicles competitively, and ensuring effective merchandising and lot presentation. Day‑to‑day tasks include coaching sales team members, assisting with customer interactions and negotiations, and ensuring that all sales processes follow dealership policies and regulatory requirements.
The role also focuses on maintaining high customer satisfaction, coordinating with other departments, and generating reports to support strategic decision‑making and profitability.
- Demonstrated ability to lead pre‑owned vehicle sales operations, including Pre‑Owned Vehicle Sales and Sales Processes.
- Strong customer‑facing skills, with experience in Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction.
- Proven track record in Sales, including meeting or exceeding individual and team targets.
- Experience managing or mentoring automotive sales teams and driving performance improvements.
- Solid understanding of used vehicle inventory management, pricing strategies, and local market trends.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Ability to work on‑site in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Prior experience in automotive retail or dealership management is strongly preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required, post‑secondary education in business or a related field is an advantage.
