Apple Valley News Now and Phase 3 Digital are part of the Morgan Murphy Media family — family-owned, people-first, and operating continuously since 1890. In the Yakima/Tri-Cities market, we help local businesses grow through high-impact storytelling and performance-driven marketing across broadcast, streaming/CTV, web, and social.

We're looking for an experienced media sales leader based in our Yakima bureau to lead a high-performing local sales team. This is a seller-coach role — someone who grows revenue through strong fundamentals (new business development, account strategy, inventory/rate management) combined with modern, integrated TV + digital selling, data-informed proposals, and measurable outcomes.

• Recruit, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives focused on solution-selling and strong client relationships
• Set clear expectations, drive activity, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Partner with the General Sales Manager on revenue strategy, forecasting, and go-to-market priorities
• Lead integrated sales planning across linear TV, streaming/CTV, owned-and-operated digital, and Phase 3 Digital services, including audience targeting and performance reporting
• Join sales calls and ride-alongs, coaching reps in the field
• Support inventory and pricing strategy — ratings, avails, pacing, yield
• Identify new categories and key accounts, and build a plan for your team to win them

• A coached, motivated team consistently hitting activity, pipeline, and revenue goals
• Growth in new local advertisers and deeper share of wallet with existing accounts
• More integrated proposals connecting brand storytelling with measurable digital performance
• Strong forecasting discipline and disciplined inventory management that protects rate integrity

• 3+ years of success in media sales and/or digital marketing sales; leadership experience strongly preferred
• Experience building multi-platform solutions (TV + streaming/CTV + digital) and communicating value to local decision makers
• A coaching/teaching mindset — comfortable developing talent through consistent feedback and fieldwork
• Strong business acumen: account management, pricing, and inventory/rate strategy
• Comfort with modern sales tools — CRM discipline, pipeline management, performance reporting
• A collaborative, community-minded approach

• Leverage premium regional sports partnerships — Apple Valley News Now is the official regional partner for the Seattle Kraken and Seattle Mariners
• Lead in a market where local businesses still rely on trusted local media to grow
• Work for a family-owned company built for the long term, with performance recognized and rewarded
• Total compensation target: $100,000 OTE, structured as a mix of base salary and performance-based bonus.
• Base salary range: $65,000–$75,000, with bonus opportunities tied to revenue goals bringing total earnings to the $100K target.
• Exact base/bonus mix is flexible and can be tailored based on candidate experience and preference.
