Maintenance Electrician

Position Summary

The Maintenance Electrician performs a variety of journey level electrical work such as installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for the utilization and distribution of electric energy. Provides general maintenance and repair of physical buildings, utility systems, and medical and supportive systems under facility management’s area of responsibility. Maintains safety and efficiency on infrastructure and systems projects.

• Installs, maintains, and enhances electrical systems and components including fuses, lights, equipment, and wiring.
• Inspects, tests, and diagnoses issues with electrical systems and components, following electrical codes, blueprints, and standards.
• Tests electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning.
• Manages inventory of necessary supplies and parts.
• Performs preventive maintenance on electrical systems and components.
• Checks, repairs and replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes and other functional components of the system.
• Completes preventive maintenance assignments within allotted time frames.

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Completion of a vocational or apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of building maintenance experience, including mechanical or electrical repair.
• Washington State L&I EL06A license required.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance required.

Competitive salary range of $31.32 - $45.09 USD, with compensation influenced by skill set, level of experience, and certifications. Benefits include medical, dental, retirement, paid time off, and other comprehensive health benefits.
