Welder - Washington, D.C.

As a Welder at our company in Washington DC USA you will be responsible for using specialized equipment to join metal parts together

Your primary duties will include reading blueprints and plans determining the correct welding techniques and materials to use and operating welding machinery safely and efficiently

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Welder
• Advanced knowledge of welding techniques and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
• Physical stamina to work in various positions for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

• Read blueprints sketches or specifications to determine layout requirements
• Select appropriate welding method based on materials being used
• Clamp or hold metal parts together using hand tools or fixtures
• Use gas or electric welding equipment to weld components together
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments together
• Monitor the quality of welds by inspecting them visually or with specialized tools
• Complete welding projects within specified deadlines

Salary $1100 per month
