Position: Helicopter Pilot with Security Clearance
Duties
* Serve as Pilot-In-Command while operating heavy, multi-engine rotary wing aircraft to perform airlift support for DOD and civilian personnel.
* Serve as Rotary Wing Instructor Pilot to train and evaluate aviators on basic and advanced flight techniques.
* Serve as Rotary Wing Instrument Flight Examiner to instrument flight evaluations and training.
* Serve as Rotary Wing Standardization Instructor Pilot to train and evaluate Instructor Pilots (IP), Flight Instructors (FI), and Standardization Instructors (SI).
* Serve as Rotary Wing Standardization Instructor Pilot to train and evaluate Instructor Pilots (IP), Flight Instructors (FI), and Standardization Instructors (SI). Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance.
* The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter.
* This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
* Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
* This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
* This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
* This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
* Execution of aviation duties will require candidates to maintain a Class II Military Flight physical prior to establishing a start date.
* Incumbent must possess a current and valid DA 2992 (or equivalent) authorizing completion of flying duties prior to establishing a start date.
* This position requires you possess the appropriate Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Pilot Certificates, Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community;

student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes
1) Operating a twin-engine helicopter at minimum controllable speeds and at low altitudes and
2) Over unfavorable terrain while providing lifesaving medical evacuation for a MEDEVAC Detachment and
3) Analyzing present and future weather conditions along the route of flight, avoiding unfavorable weather considering alternate routes and destinations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
Possession of the appropriate Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) pilot certificates, and/or military rating, meeting the applicable flight hour requirements, and possession of the knowledge and skills required for the position. Flight hour information MUST in the body of the resume. Your application packet MUST include a copy of certificates/military ratings. Flight hour requirements:
Total flight time: 1750 hours;
Pilot in Command: 1150 hours;
Night flying: 75 hours;
Last 12 months: 100 hours;
Heavy Helicopter: 500 hours;
